Acer conspicuum "Silver Vine" - is an ornamental snakebark maple that attracts attention not only with its beautiful foliage but also with its unusual bark. Young shoots are green with bright white longitudinal stripes, making the tree decorative even in winter. In spring, large light green leaves unfurl, in summer they acquire a rich green color, and in autumn they turn into bright yellow and golden-orange tones.
The tree or large shrub reaches 4–6 m in height and forms a broad, rounded crown. In spring, small greenish-yellow flowers appear, followed by decorative samaras. The variety is distinguished by good frost resistance and tolerance to urban conditions.
It develops best on fertile, moderately moist, well-drained soils in partial shade or in sun with sufficient moisture. Suitable for single plantings, Japanese gardens, landscape compositions, and parks.
