Acer palmatum "Dissectum" - is one of the most famous and elegant varieties of Japanese maple, distinguished by its delicate, deeply dissected foliage and picturesque weeping crown. Thanks to the unusual shape of its leaves and the cascading arrangement of its branches, the plant looks light, airy, and decorative throughout the entire season. This variety is considered a true classic of Japanese garden art and is ideal for creating exquisite landscape compositions.

Decorative Features

The main feature of the variety is its thin, deeply dissected leaves, reminiscent of lace. Each leaf blade is divided into many narrow lobes, giving the crown an unusually light and elegant texture.

In spring, the tree is covered with fresh light green foliage with delicate lemon hues. Young leaves look especially bright and create a feeling of airiness.

In summer, the color becomes rich green, maintaining freshness and decorative appeal even during hot periods. Thanks to the highly dissected foliage, sunlight beautifully filters through the crown, creating an effect of lightness and depth.

In autumn, the plant transforms, coloring itself in bright golden, orange, and crimson-red hues. The autumn coloration is highly saturated and makes the tree one of the most striking accents in the garden.

The crown naturally forms a wide umbrella-shaped silhouette with long, cascading branches. This architecture gives the plant expressiveness even after leaf fall, when the smooth lines of the shoots become clearly visible.
