Description
Actinidia arguta "Ken's Red" is a high-yielding mini kiwi (hardy kiwi) variety, valued for its unusual red-purple fruits, sweet taste, and high decorative appeal. This vigorous deciduous liana quickly grows, forming a dense green canopy, and in autumn delights with an abundant harvest of original berries that can be eaten with their thin, edible skin.
Decorative Features
The main advantage of the variety is its oval fruits of a rich red-burgundy color with bright reddish flesh. The berries have a sweet, juicy taste with subtle notes of kiwi, berries, and tropical fruits.
In spring, the plant is covered with small white fragrant flowers, attracting bees and other pollinating insects.
The leaves are large, oval, and rich green, creating a dense decorative mass throughout the season, and in autumn they acquire beautiful yellow hues.
The liana quickly wraps around supports, arches, pergolas, and arbors, combining decorative appeal with high yields.
