Description

Amarygia "Alba" - is the result of a hybrid cross between Amaryllis (belladonna lily) and Brunsvigia. The plant impresses with large rounded bulbs and very large, fragrant white trumpet-shaped flowers. The flowers are arranged in a circle around a tall scape, creating a spectacular composition in late summer.


Like all bulbs of this family, plant them with their neck out of the ground and make sure they are in well-drained soil. Amarygias are sometimes reluctant to flower after planting, so it is best to leave them to naturalize in shrubs, and they will endure long dry periods while dormant.

For planting, it is recommended to choose well-lit areas or areas with slight shade. After flowering, leaves will form, which should be left on the plant until they naturally dry out.
