Description
Anemone blanda "Blue Shades" is a compact spring perennial valued for its early flowering and soft purple hues. It is one of the most popular choices for creating a "flowering carpet" in the garden: when planted in groups, it quickly forms dense clumps and looks natural, without an artificial feel.
The plant is short, about 10-15 cm, with thin but sturdy flower stalks. Flowers are 3-5 cm in diameter, opening wide in the sun. The coloration varies from soft blue to purple, often with a lighter center, creating a gentle gradient. The leaves are delicate, dissected, and decorative even when not in bloom. The fragrance is weak or absent.
