Description
Betula pendula "Youngii" - is a decorative weeping form of the silver birch with a picturesque umbrella-shaped crown and branches cascading down to the ground. This variety is valued for its elegant silhouette, snow-white bark, delicate foliage, and high winter hardiness. Thanks to its compact size, it is ideal for small gardens and solitary plantings.
The main feature of the variety is its beautiful weeping crown, formed by long flexible shoots that cascade down, creating an expressive silhouette. The height of the tree depends on the grafting height and usually ranges from 4–6 meters.
The leaves are small, rhombic, bright green in summer, and golden yellow in autumn. The white bark with characteristic dark streaks retains its ornamental value all year round.
In spring, elegant catkins appear on the tree, adding additional appeal to the plant.
