Planting (Clematis Andromeda) Planting clematis is the first and most important stage, on which the plant's condition, growth activity, lushness, and duration of flowering will depend. Planting time. It is best to plant seedlings in spring, but it is also permissible in autumn. Planting location. The variety prefers to grow in partial shade. Stagnant water in the soil will be detrimental to the plant, so care should be taken to ensure that when planting near a building wall, water does not drain directly from the roof to the base of the plant. Planting depth. When planting a seedling, the rhizomes should be deepened by 7-10 cm. The plant should be planted in a pre-prepared hole with a drainage layer at the bottom and fertile soil. The rhizome is carefully spread on a mound of fertile mixture, covered with soil, compacted, and watered. Care. Clematis Andromeda is undemanding in care – it is enough to provide it with a comfortable place with support, which can be a specially constructed structure, a tree, or a bush. Watering should be moderate.
