Clematis "Golden Tiara" - is a popular large-flowered variety with beautiful light pink flowers up to 15 cm in diameter. The climbing bush has vigorous growth, reaching 2.5-3 meters in height, generously adorned with numerous flowers consisting of 6 corrugated petals of a delicate pink hue with chocolate-brown stamens. The fragrance is pleasant, subtle.

Flowering is very abundant, early, and repeat. The first wave appears from the second half of May to June, and the clematis re-flowers from July to August. Hagley Hybrid is suitable for growing near fences, walls, arbors, and trellises. It prefers sunny locations but can also grow in partial shade. Fertile, well-drained soils with moderate watering are suitable. It can climb trees and tall shrubs. Frost resistance zones 4-9. Pruning group 3 (hard). It is considered an achievement of Dutch breeding. In its best conditions, it stretches several meters. The vines can climb upwards, clinging to trellises or tree branches, or horizontally if there is no suitable support nearby. Flowering is usually abundant and quite long-lasting. If the plant likes the soil and receives enough nutrients, you can expect a large number of golden flowers.

Clematis Golden Tiara - characteristics:

height: 2-3 m;
leaves: light green, oblong, with uneven teeth along the edges;
flowers: notable for a quartet of sunny-golden openwork petals, which, when open, resemble a bright star, about 5-6 cm in diameter;
flowering: from June to August/September;
planting zone: protected from drafts, sunny;
pruning group: 3 (hard);
frost resistance zone (USDA): 4-5.

Cultivation features

Immediately after planting, it is essential to ensure good watering and promote the growth of green mass. How long does it take for clematis to bloom? Sometimes this happens in the first calendar year of cultivation, but mainly in the second. The winter care plays a crucial role in how strong and decoratively attractive your clematis will be. This variety is quite frost-resistant, so light hilling is sufficient for it.
