Description
Clematis heracleifolia - is an unusual shrub clematis that, unlike most members of the genus, is not a vine and does not require support. The plant forms a compact upright bush with beautiful dense foliage and numerous fragrant flowers of an unusual tubular-bell shape and a rich blue-violet hue.
The bush reaches 80–150 cm in height and blooms from July to September. The flowers are gathered in small inflorescences at the ends of the shoots, attracting bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects. After flowering, the plant is adorned with decorative silvery fluffy seed heads that retain their attractiveness until late autumn.
Clematis prefers sunny or slightly shaded areas with fertile, loose, and well-drained soil. It is distinguished by high winter hardiness, disease resistance, and unpretentiousness, making it perfect for both novice and experienced gardeners.
