Description
Clematis "Polish Spirit" is a fast-growing vine that grows 3-4 meters per season, forming a beautiful, lush crown. This variety belongs to the Viticella group, characterized by prolonged and abundant flowering from July until frost on current year's shoots. The flowers are purple-magenta with dark red stamens, consisting of 4-6 velvety petals. The diameter of each medium-sized flower is 6 to 10 cm. The variety was bred by Polish selector Ivan Franczak and introduced to the world in 1990 under the name "Polski Duch" (Polish Spirit). The plant received this name due to its hardiness and unpretentiousness, which was confirmed by the Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit.
Planting, care, and recommendations for growing clematis.
For comfortable growth, a sunny spot without drafts is best. The soil should be nutritious and well-drained, slightly alkaline or neutral. Clematis are very moisture-loving, so they need moderate watering during dry periods. To protect the roots from overheating, mulching is necessary. Gardeners often plant ground cover plants at the base of clematis for this purpose. Although it is a water-lover, it does not tolerate water stagnation. From excess moisture, the plant can get sick and die. Seedlings with a closed root system can be planted throughout the entire growing season. When planting, spread the plant's roots over a mound in the planting hole, cover completely with fertile soil up to the first internode, and water generously.
Frost resistance is good; mature plants do not need winter cover.
Plants grown in containers (closed root system) can be planted at any time convenient for you, from spring to autumn, the main thing is to provide timely watering and protection from the scorching sun.

Korzenie i część nadziemna wyglądały proporcjonalnie.

The first thing I noticed was the clean condition of the shoots. The stems felt firm enough for careful planting. The leaves that were present had not been badly rubbed in transit.
