Os caules estavam firmes para uma plantação cuidadosa. O material vegetal parecia fresco ao abrir a caixa. Para uma encomenda online de plantas, foi tranquilizador.

Description
Clematis "The President" - is a climbing plant with moderate growth vigor, growing up to 2.5 m tall, attaching to supports with leaf petioles (a climbing vine). The leaves are ovate, complex trifoliate or sometimes simple, brownish when young, then dark green.
The first very abundant flowering of 'The President' occurs on last year's shoots already in May. The flowers on second-year shoots are large, 18 cm in diameter, simple, consisting of 8 pointed perianth segments with wavy edges, partially overlapping each other. The petal color is velvety purplish-blue with a reddish longitudinal stripe in the center and a silvery color on the underside. The center of the flower is a contrasting white-burgundy: a cluster of stamens with purplish-violet anthers on white-pink filaments.
The second flowering on young vines occurs in August - September, less abundantly with flowers of the same color but smaller in size, followed by attractive silvery seed heads. To stimulate re-flowering, it is recommended to shorten faded shoots by approximately 1/3 of their length.
Planting, Care and Growing Recommendations for Clematis The President
Ideally grows and blooms on rich, well-drained soils, in full sun or partial shade.
Clematis do not like stagnant moisture, preferring infrequent but abundant watering.
Fertilize clematis in early spring when buds swell and new growths begin to appear. A second feeding is needed after the first wave of flowering to stimulate re-flowering.
It is recommended to shade or mulch the soil at the base of the clematis bush primarily to prevent soil overheating. For the same purpose, groundcovers or other plants with a shallow root system (e.g., geraniums) can be planted.
In the first year, it is recommended to prune all clematis, regardless of pruning group and flowering time, no higher than 30 cm from the ground to stimulate the appearance of new shoots from the base of the bush. Subsequently, since clematis 'The President' belongs to pruning group 2, in spring (February-March) it is sufficient to remove dead shoots and prune living ones: in the second year - to 70 cm, and in subsequent years at a height of 150 cm (the smaller and weaker the plant, the lower the pruning).
Frost resistance is good (winter-hardy in Ukraine), adult plants do not need winter cover.
