Description
Corydalis solida "Beth Evans" is one of the most beautiful and popular varieties of spring-flowering corydalis. The plant is valued for its large, intensely pink-salmon colored inflorescences, which appear in early spring and create vibrant color accents in shady garden corners.
The variety forms compact clumps of delicate bluish-green foliage and numerous strong flower stalks. The flowers have a characteristic elongated shape with a spur and are gathered in dense racemose inflorescences. Their unusual warm pink-coral color stands out favorably against the spring greenery and combines beautifully with primroses, anemones, lungworts, and other early spring flowers.
Flowering begins in early spring and lasts several weeks. After the end of the growing season, the plant gradually enters a dormant period until the next season, which is characteristic of all tuberous corydalis.
Corydalis solida 'Beth Evans' prefers partial shade to shady areas with loose, fertile, and moderately moist soil. It is distinguished by high winter hardiness, unpretentiousness, and the ability to form picturesque flowering clumps over time.
