Description
«Engelmannii» is a decorative creeper: an effective garden plant capable of adding depth, character, and a sense of completeness to a composition. The foliage or needles have the plant's characteristic color, "Green". Flowering continues from June to July and reveals the variety's characteristic palette. As an adult, the plant usually reaches 10–20 m in height and about 5–10 m in width, so its future scale is easy to take into account when planning planting.
The beauty of the variety is especially well displayed where lighting, soil, and humidity are selected considering its characteristics. Optimal lighting is sun or partial shade or shade. Soil is fertile, well-drained. Watering is moderate. Frost resistance is very high, up to -30 °C.
In a composition, the plant helps create an expressive structure and maintain interest in the planting throughout the season. The best use scenarios are arches, walls, trellises, pergolas, vertical landscaping. The main advantages of "Engelmannii" are very high winter hardiness, effective vertical landscaping, an expressive vertical silhouette, and versatility in garden compositions. To maintain its shape, it is sufficient to adhere to the following pruning scheme: regular restrictive pruning.
