Description
Crocus chrysanthus "Prins Claus" — is a miniature spring crocus that captivates with its delicate coloration and early flowering. Snow-white petals are adorned with elegant lilac strokes on the outside, and a bright yellow center gives the flowers special expressiveness and a sunny mood. This botanical variety is one of the first to greet spring, enlivening the garden after winter.
The compact plant is perfect for alpine slides, flower beds, borders, and growing on lawns. Narrow green leaves harmoniously complement the graceful flowers. The plant height is 8–10 cm. Flowering begins in March.
The botanical crocus Prins Claus does not have special growing conditions. It is enough to know the basic recommendations for planting and care to grow spring flowers in your garden. In addition, crocuses can be grown for forcing.
Planting time. The optimal planting period for Crocus Prins Claus is from September to early October.
Planting location. This magnificent variety grows well in sunny or semi-shady areas. Plants are undemanding to soil composition, with the exception of acidic soils.
Planting depth. Bulbs are planted to a depth of 5-10 cm, maintaining a distance of 7 to 10 cm between planting material.
Care. Botanical crocuses are unpretentious in care. Plants grow in one place for about 5 years without transplanting, while increasing the abundance of flowering. Transplanting is carried out in August-September.
The flowers have good resistance to frost and pests. They do not need watering, as they feed on moisture reserves after winter.

The protective material was used where it was actually needed. The shoots were not pressed against the lid. That was enough to leave a good first impression.
