In mijn pakket zat Crocus speciosus "Albus".

Description
Crocus speciosus "Albus" is one of the most beautiful crocus flowers. This beautiful white Crocus or Autumn Crocus will not leave you indifferent. Another name: autumn crocus. This is an ephemeral plant belonging to the Iridaceae family. It is one of the late-flowering crocuses. In natural conditions, it grows on meadow slopes and forest edges. Habitat: mountainous Crimea, etc.
A fast-growing perennial. Its beautiful, goblet-shaped flowers are elongated, with six petals. They bloom from September to November on leafless flower stalks. The flowers are followed by narrow, shiny, medium-green leaves. They begin to grow from the bulb during flowering, and fully develop after flowering, by the spring of the following year. The branched stigmas, which peek out from the perianth, are bright orange. They create a bright accent and attract attention. The corms are large, flattened. They usually form 2 flowers each. The flowers are not suitable for bouquets, as they wilt instantly. The plant reaches about 8-15 cm in height and up to 7 cm in width.
This unusual autumn-flowering crocus is ideal for creating bright spots in a sunny shrub border among deciduous shrubs. Often the earliest colchicum. It quickly forms large colonies after planting. It requires spring sun to accumulate enough food and form a new flower by autumn. After the foliage has matured, shade is not a problem for the plant, so choose companions for the crocus carefully. This species is grown in sandy, poor or moderately fertile, but well-drained soils. Planting depth is 8 cm, the distance between corms when planting is 12 cm. The plant is frost-resistant: it does not require winter cover. Do not plant the plants on a lawn, as during mowing, the plant may be left without leaves. This should not be allowed, because then the crocuses grow poorly and die. This crocus multiplies by dividing overgrown nests of corms in the autumn.

Radici e parte superiore apparivano ben bilanciate.

The pot and stems were supported separately. Very little soil had escaped from the container. The process was simple without feeling impersonal.

Nothing looked crushed, broken or excessively dry. The leaves that were present had not been badly rubbed in transit. The experience matched what I expected from the description.
