Crocus tommasinianus "Roseus" is a perennial low-growing herbaceous cormous plant. The corm is flattened, 1-1.2 cm long, 2-3 cm in diameter, covered with a thin shell with parallel fibers that are slightly reticulated. One corm produces 1 flower, rising 6-10 cm above the ground. The leaves are narrowly linear, fully developing at the time the flowers bloom. The perianth of the flower is pinkish-lilac: the outer side of the perianth is paler - milky pink, and the inner part of the perianth is pinkish-lilac with a white throat. The shape of the petals is pointed, stellate when open. The flower tube is up to 6 cm long, white. In sunny weather, the flowers are wide open, flat, 3.5-3.8 cm in diameter. The pistil and stamens are of equal height. The anthers are yellow, the pistil stigmas are intensely yellow. It has a pleasant aroma. Flowering occurs in late winter - early spring (February-March). The flowering period is 20 days. It belongs to ephemeroids - it goes into summer dormancy. Nests are divided every 3-4 years in autumn.
