Description

Dahlia "Thomas A. Edison" is a true "bright idea" for your garden, named after the great inventor. The plant adds aristocratic depth and drama to the area, becoming an undisputed leader of the summer-autumn season. The inflorescences of this variety are striking in their splendor: huge baskets consist of numerous petals with the texture of expensive velvet. The color is pure energy of purple: a deep purple-crimson hue, which appears even darker in the center of the flower, giving the inflorescences visual volume. Against the backdrop of massive dark green foliage, these bright flowers look like real jewels, not fading even under direct sunlight.

For the variety to demonstrate all its grandeur, it is worth choosing an open sunny spot with fertile and well-drained soil. The variety is distinguished by vigorous growth and stable flowering until the first night frosts. Since the bush is quite tall, it is recommended to provide support for the stems. After the season ends, the tubers need to be dug up and stored in a dry, cool place until next spring.

In landscape design, it is an ideal choice for creating contrasting compositions. It looks unparalleled paired with lemon-yellow flowers or silvery grasses.
