Description
Dichelostemma ida-maia is a decorative perennial bulbous plant native to California, popular for its bright tubular red-green flowers. It is valued for its frost resistance (zones 5-6), unpretentiousness, and ability to attract hummingbirds.
Key Features and Care:
- Flowering: From May to July, flowers are gathered in umbrella-shaped inflorescences (8-15 pieces) on stems 60 cm high.
- Appearance: Tubular bright red petals with contrasting lime-green tips that curve outwards.
- Planting: In autumn, in light, well-drained soil in sunny areas or partial shade.
- Usage: Ideal for rock gardens, borders, mixed borders, and cutting.
The plant is often used to create accents in the garden due to its elegant drooping flowers resembling small firecrackers.

Widoczne pąki były całe. Korzenie i część nadziemna wyglądały proporcjonalnie.

The item matched the general condition shown in the description. The plant looked prepared for shipping rather than freshly disturbed. It was a small point, but I noticed it straight away.

The shoots were not pressed against the lid. The box was arranged so the plant could not move freely. I would be comfortable ordering another variety this way.
