Description

Gladiolus nanus -mix- - these are charming gladioli. Slightly more compact than large-flowered and ruffled varieties. Nanus flower stalks, unlike other species, are well-supported by dense, rigid leaves and do not require tying. They are well-suited for creating landscape compositions, perfect for rock gardens and alpine slides. Nanus form magnificent borders. For growing in containers at home and in the garden, these gladioli are better suited than other species. Modern dwarf gladioli are unpretentious in care, resilient, and have good growth vigor.

Description and main characteristics of the group:

simple flowers;
petal edges slightly wavy or slightly crimped, with elongated tips bent outwards;
flower color palette - diverse, soft, pastel;
flower diameter about 10 cm;
plant height, on average - 60 cm - 70 cm;
flowering period begins in July and lasts until September, a total of up to 25 days.

Features of gladiolus planting:

like other gladiolus species - sensitive to frost, so planting in open ground begins closer to mid-May;
for growing in pots, at home or for decorating the garden with potted compositions - can be planted in March-April;
choose fertile, light substrates, with the addition of vermiculite or other drainage materials;
for successful cultivation - choose open places, illuminated by the sun throughout the day.
