Description

Gladiolus nanus "Nathalie" - this medium-sized variety of gladiolus Nanus Nathalie captivates with its bright, richly pink buds, unfurling alternately on a long spike-like peduncle. During the flowering period, which lasts about one and a half months, the color of the buds constantly changes. Blue and lilac hues appear in it, and a bright red stripe on the lower part of the petals. This is an excellent plant for creating attractive mono-compositions. It combines perfectly with other plants.

Planting (Gladiolus Nanus Nathalie)

Planting. For planting gladioli, choose a sunny and wind-protected location. The soil should be fertile and neutral, rich in nutrients. Plant the bulbs in late April / early May according to a scheme of 8-12x20 cm, depending on the size of the bulbs, to a depth of 8-10 cm.

Care. Gladioli need support. When they start to produce flower spikes, tie them up. Dig up the bulbs for winter. It is best to do this in October. Sort the corms, then dry them and place them in storage, ensuring a temperature of about 5 °C. Gladioli are susceptible to fungi causing rot and fusarium. The most common pests are thrips and root mites.
