Description
«Grass (Pampas)» is a decorative grass: a bright garden element where naturalness combines with a neat shape and expressive texture. Evergreen foliage or needles retain rich green tones and maintain the decorative appeal of the planting all year round. Flowering continues from August to October. At maturity, the plant usually reaches 1.5–2.5 m in height and about 1–2 m in width, so its future scale is easy to consider when planning the planting.
Best of all, the variety reveals its decorative qualities with a properly chosen location and stable, but not excessive, care. Optimal lighting is full sun. Drained soil is preferred. Watering – low to moderate. Frost resistance – medium, around -10…-15 °C; dry protected wintering is required.
In garden design, the plant is valued for its plasticity and ability to harmoniously support various planting styles. Best use scenarios include mixed borders, mass plantings, structural plantings, containers. The main advantages of «Grass (Pampas)» are year-round decorativeness, prolonged flowering, suitability for container cultivation, expressive leaf texture, and versatility in garden compositions. To maintain its shape, it is sufficient to adhere to the following pruning scheme: deciduous grasses are cut back at the end of winter; evergreen sedges are combed and lightly cleaned.
