Description

Helleborus argutifolius Green Dwarf — is a compact evergreen perennial with stiff, leathery leaves and early flowering. The plant forms neat bushes 30–40 cm high, which are highly valued in landscape design due to their decorative foliage and ability to bloom as early as late winter or early spring.

For planting, it is recommended to choose sites in partial shade of trees or shrubs with loose, fertile, moderately moist, and well-drained soil. Hellebore needs regular watering without waterlogging, and in hot weather, it is advisable to use mulch to retain moisture. Fertilization is carried out twice per season: in February to stimulate flowering and in mid-summer; however, an excess of fertilizers is undesirable in the first year after planting. To maintain decorativeness and prevent diseases, it is recommended to promptly remove old, damaged, and unattractive leaves.
