Description
Hyacinthus "Gipsy Queen" - this variety is considered one of the most spectacular and fragrant. The "Gipsy Queen" will become the center of a spring composition or independently take over a flowerbed, making everyone admire its peach inflorescences. Flowering begins in April and lasts about 15-20 days. The inflorescences are densely filled with small flowers, and the green leaves beautifully highlight the beauty and maintain the integrity of the "arrows". This variety is one of the best for cutting, tolerates transportation well, and retains its shape in a bouquet for a long time. It is grown in gardens and at home. Plant the bulbs in a sunny spot with fertilized soil, protect them from severe frosts, and in spring, the queen will reward your efforts, repaying with beauty that will make your heart skip more than one beat.
Hyacinth Gipsy Queen: features
- plant height 30 cm;
- inflorescence height 21 cm;
- flower diameter 4-4.5 cm;
- flowering time – April-May;
- planting October-November;
- good endurance;
- no susceptibility to diseases;
- high frost resistance of bulbs.
Hyacinth Gipsy Queen bulbs: planting and care
Gipsy Queen hyacinth bulbs are recommended to be planted in areas with nutritious and well-drained soil in the first half of autumn, from September to October. If the soil is heavy, it needs to be "diluted" with sand or peat to improve soil aeration. The planting depth will depend on the size of the bulbs: for large ones, a hole 15-18 cm deep is suitable, and for small ones – 5-10 cm.
After planting, water and mulch are applied in case of a frosty and snowless winter. In spring, the mulch should be removed from the area so that the soil warms up faster and the bulbs "wake up". If there is not enough moisture, water and fertilize with multicomponent fertilizers.
After flowering, Gipsy Queen hyacinths need to be dug up, but you should wait until the flower stalk withers and dries out. This usually happens around the end of June or beginning of July. Dig up the bulbs, remove diseased and damaged specimens, clean them of outer scales and remnants of dry flower stalks and roots. After that, rinse and dry in a shaded, well-ventilated room. After this, the planting material can be stored.

Nestas condições, voltaria a encomendar outra variedade.

Il materiale vegetale sembrava fresco all'apertura.
