Description
Hyacinthus "Manhattan" - This oriental hyacinth features large double flowers and a sweet fragrance. Its second name is the Dutch hyacinth. This variety is medium-early and incredibly beautiful.
Cultivation:
- Soil: loose, sandy loam, with good drainage.
- Location: sunny places or partial shade, protected from strong winds.
- Planting time: September-October. Planting depth: 10-12 cm.
- Wintering: cover with a layer of mulch (5-10 cm).
Care:
- Planting in soil: Bulbs are planted in September-October. The planting site should be protected from wind.
- Planting in containers: Ensure good drainage. Pots must have drainage holes. The soil mixture is prepared from sod land, compost, sand or peat. The container for the bulbs should be slightly larger than the bulb size.
- Bulb storage: After flowering, bulbs are dug up, dried in the shade in the air, sorted, and stored in a cool place. Diseased bulbs are discarded.

The plant looked prepared for shipping rather than freshly disturbed. The planting material looked fresh when I opened the box. Nothing felt rushed or carelessly prepared.

First time buying from this nursery and I'm impressed already. The bulb is firm and plump, with no signs of rot or mould. Can't wait to see it come up and flower in spring.
