Description

Hyacinthus "Woodstock"- This is a luxurious hyacinth variety with dense, fragrant inflorescences of a rich purple-violet hue. Numerous star-shaped flowers are gathered in a dense cylindrical cluster that rises above a compact rosette of bright green leaves. Thanks to its deep velvety color and strong sweet fragrance, this variety becomes a true adornment of the spring garden and is perfectly suited for container growing and forcing.

Hyacinths originate from the Mediterranean and Asia Minor, where they have long been valued for their beauty and rich aroma. The plant arrived in Europe in the 16th century, and later Dutch breeders developed many ornamental varieties with diverse colors. Woodstock is considered one of the most spectacular purple hyacinths due to its unusually rich color, dense inflorescences, and long flowering period.

The plant prefers sunny or slightly shaded areas with fertile, loose, and well-drained soil. It blooms in April–May, is highly frost-resistant, and easy to care for. It is ideal for flower beds, borders, rock gardens, container cultivation, as well as for cutting and spring forcing indoors.
