Iris chrysographes "Black Form" is a striking variety with a very dark, almost black coloration, valued for its depth of color and expressiveness. It creates strong contrasting accents and looks great in both modern and natural plantings.
The plant reaches a height of about 50-70 cm, with thin, graceful leaves. The flowers are medium-sized, velvety, with delicate veins that become noticeable in good light.
It blooms in May-June. This variety is highly winter-hardy and does not require digging up. It prefers sunny areas or partial shade, and thrives best in moister but well-drained soils.
