Iris hollandica "Bronze Beauty" - is a bulbous or Dutch iris belonging to the xiphium group. A spectacular perennial plant. It was bred in the Netherlands. The variety name translates as "Bronze Beauty". A bright, inexpensive iris that will delight you with spectacular flowering in early summer.

The flower stem is strong, 45-60 cm high. It usually forms 1-2 flowers with fairly wide petals (perianth segments). Each flower consists of three vertical inner perianth segments and three outer ones. Their color is very attractive. In one flower, the usual golden color, bronze, purple, and brown are combined. The inner perianth segments are small, inverted downwards, colored in a solid color with speckles and and strokes. The outer segments have yellow crests. Flower size is 4-5 cm in diameter. The leaves are lanceolate, grooved, green, gathered in a basal tuft. They are very similar to the leaves of rhizomatous irises. After flowering, the iris roots die off. The dormant period begins in September. This plant tolerates temperature drops down to -29 °C. Therefore, when choosing a planting site for irises, consider their light and heat requirements.
