Description

Iris hollandica "Discovery Purple" is an elegant bulbous variety with large, richly purple-violet flowers. The lower petals are adorned with a contrasting golden-yellow spot, which gives the flower a special expressiveness.

The plant reaches 50–60 cm in height and forms strong, slender flower stalks. The flowers are large, about 8–10 cm in diameter, with velvety petals. The leaves are narrow, sword-shaped, and richly green. The fragrance is light and delicate.

Flowering period is May–June. The variety prefers sunny areas with light, well-drained soil. It is suitable for flower beds, borders, container cultivation, and cutting, maintaining its decorative appeal in bouquets for a long time.
