Description

Iris reticulata -mix- is one of the earliest and most spectacular spring bulbous primroses, often blooming directly from under the snow. This mix of varieties includes vibrant shades of blue, purple, light blue, lilac, yellow, and white, making plantings look especially colorful and decorative. Compact plants, only 10–15 cm tall, produce large flowers for their size, about 6–8 cm in diameter, and are perfectly suited for rock gardens, borders, containers, and creating bright spring compositions.

Flowering occurs in early spring — March–April. Irises prefer sunny areas or light partial shade and thrive best in light, well-drained soils with neutral acidity (pH 6–7). The plants do not tolerate waterlogging, especially in winter. Bulbs are planted in early autumn at a depth of about 8–10 cm, leaving a distance of 5–10 cm between plants. Iridodictiums are highly frost-resistant, overwinter excellently without cover, and delight annually with early and abundant flowering.
