Lilium "Lotus Wonder" is a spectacular variety of oriental hybrid species, distinguished by its double flowers that resemble a lotus in shape. The flowers are large (15-20 cm in diameter), densely double, bright pink or lilac with a pronounced raspberry speckle in the center. It has a strong, rich, and pleasant fragrance, characteristic of oriental hybrids. The sturdy stem reaches a height of 100 cm. Flowering occurs in July-August and lasts about three weeks.
It prefers sunny areas or light partial shade with loose, nutritious, and well-drained soil. The variety requires regular watering (especially during flowering) and tying tall flower stalks to a support so they do not break under the weight of heavy buds. Like many oriental hybrids, the variety can be sensitive to severe frosts and excessive winter moisture, so in some regions, covering or digging up the bulbs is recommended.
