Description

Lilium "Orfeo" - is an unusually passionate and elegant variety belonging to the group of Asiatic hybrids. It captivates with its rich, velvety dark red coloration, which acquires luxurious cherry hues in sunlight. The flowers, 15–18 cm in diameter, have a classic cup-shaped form with wide petals that are directed upwards and outwards, creating a very impressive visual volume. The variety is valued for its color stability, which does not fade in direct sunlight, and for its restrained yet regal beauty.

This lily is highly frost-resistant and overwinters perfectly in open ground, not requiring mandatory digging up. It prefers sunny areas where the petal color becomes maximally deep, but also feels good in light partial shade. It needs fertile, loose, and well-drained soils. Bulbs are planted to a depth of about 15–20 cm. Care involves regular moderate watering at the root, mulching the soil to protect the bulb from overheating, and feeding with complex mineral fertilizers at the beginning of vegetation and before flowering.
