Description
«Fireballs» is a lingonberry with a recognizable garden form and decorative appeal that unfolds differently throughout the season. The evergreen foliage or needles retain rich green tones and maintain the decorative appeal of the planting all year round. Flowering occurs in spring and early summer; the main shade of the flowers is «White / pale pink». The plant forms edible fruits; the color of the fruits is «Red»; ripening usually lasts from August to October.
For harmonious development, it is important to select conditions close to the plant's natural requirements. Optimal lighting is sun or light partial shade. Soil - acidic peaty soil; pH approximately 3.5–5.0. Watering - regular; soil constantly moderately moist. Frost resistance - very high, usually up to −30 °C.
In the landscape, the variety easily works both as a standalone accent and as part of a more complex composition. The best use scenarios are a fruit garden, berry patch, edible hedge; compact varieties - containers. The main advantages of «Fireballs» are year-round decorativeness, edible harvest, extended fruiting period, self-fertility, and very high winter hardiness.
