Description

Muscari "Night Eyes" - this is a magical small-bulbous perennial that will be a true adornment of the spring garden. This variety stands out with its bicolor inflorescences, creating a delicate yet noticeable accent and adding diversity to traditional blue carpets of muscari.

The plant forms compact clumps of narrow, strap-like, bright green leaves that appear in autumn or very early spring. The height of the plant together with the flower stalks is 15-20 cm. The leaves persist until summer, then die back, and the plant enters a dormant period.

"Night Eyes" blooms in early spring, in April-May, producing numerous, dense, spike-like inflorescences resembling grape clusters. The main feature of this variety is its bicolor flowers: the main part of the flower has a dark blue or indigo color, and at the top of each "bell" there is a clear, contrasting white edge or "eye". This gives the inflorescence a special expressiveness and volume. Muscari also have a pleasant, light fragrance.

Armenian Muscari "Night Eyes" is a light-loving plant that feels best in sunny areas or in light partial shade. It prefers well-drained, fertile, moderately moist soils. It is very important that the soil is not excessively waterlogged, especially during the bulb dormancy period, as this can lead to rot. The plant is extremely winter-hardy (Zone 4-8), perfectly overwinters in Ukraine without cover. Muscari are unpretentious and multiply quickly, forming beautiful colonies.
