Description

Narcissus "Lemon Beauty" is a flower with pure white petals surrounding a split-corona adorned with a bright yellow star. It was bred in 1962. It grows up to 40 cm tall. The flowers are very beautiful and resemble butterflies or orchids. They are large and striking, rising on strong stems. The corona (cup/trumpet) is slightly shorter than or equal to the perianth segments (petals). It is split by more than one-third of its length. Its segments are ruffled, usually reflexed with a wavy edge and an eye in the center. The perianth segments are rounded, not reflexed backwards. The flowers are horizontally oriented and have a pleasant fragrance. They bloom in mid-to-late season and have a long flowering period (up to three weeks). There is a single scape. The flower size is up to 12 cm in diameter.


It is ideal for mass planting, for creating borders, for planting in containers, and for cutting. It looks best in groups of 5-15 pieces. It is ideal for obtaining high-quality cut flowers, not only in open ground but also for forcing. It grows well in full sun or dappled shade (requires at least three hours of full sun per day). The flowering period is April-May. This variety can withstand temperatures down to -35 °C.
