Description
Narcissus poeticus var. recurvus is a classic species daffodil, valued for its elegant form, pure coloration, and distinct fragrance. Its flower is easily recognizable: wide white petals and a small flat corona with a characteristic red or orange-red rim along the edge. Such a contrasting detail makes the flower neat, yet very expressive.
The plant forms flower stalks 30-40 cm high, the stems are thin but strong enough. The flower is solitary, medium-sized (about 6-8 cm), slightly drooping at first and opening into an almost flat shape. Flowering occurs later than most daffodils - usually in May, which allows extending the overall flowering season in the garden.
