Description
Narcissus "Topolino" - is one of the best early-flowering varieties belonging to the Trumpet group. It was bred in 1965. It grows to a height of just 20 cm. The corona of the narcissus is equal to or slightly longer than the perianth segments (petals): usually by a third. The perianth segments are oval, with pointed ends, creamy-white in color. The corona (trumpet) is wide, with a wavy edge, lemon-yellow in color with a yellow eye in the center. The flowers are arranged horizontally. The flower stem is leafless. The flower size is about 7 cm in diameter. The flowers are fabulously fragrant. The plants remain compact. The foliage is grey-green.
It is perfectly suited for flower beds, alpine gardens, rock gardens, for planting under trees, and for growing in containers. It looks great in compositions with tulips, hyacinths, muscari, and violets. Ideal for obtaining high-quality cut flowers, not only outdoors but also for forcing. This variety has a long flowering period (up to three weeks). It grows well in full sun, partial shade, and shade. It is hardy.

The roots and upper growth appeared balanced on arrival. The plant looked prepared for shipping rather than freshly disturbed. I was particularly interested in Narcissus "Topolino".

The first watering was absorbed normally after the journey. The stems remained firm instead of drooping further. For an online plant order, this was reassuring.
