Narcissus "Topolino" is one of the best early-flowering varieties, belonging to the Trumpet group. It was bred in 1965. It grows only up to 20 cm tall. The daffodil's corona is equal to or slightly longer than the perianth segments (petals): usually by a third. The perianth segments are oval, with pointed ends, creamy white. The corona (trumpet) is wide, with a wavy edge, lemon-yellow with a yellow eye in the center. The flowers are arranged horizontally. The flower stem is leafless. Flower size is about 7 cm in diameter. The flowers are wonderfully fragrant. The bushes remain compact. The foliage is gray-green.
Perfect for flower beds, rockeries, alpine gardens, for planting under trees and for growing in containers. Looks great in compositions with tulips, hyacinths, muscari, violets. Ideal for obtaining high-quality cut flowers, not only in open ground, but also for forcing. This variety has a long flowering period (up to three weeks). Grows well in full sun, partial shade, and shade. Hardy.
