Nepeta rossii Karasuba is an elegant ornamental perennial catmint, valued for its unusual shoot coloration, fragrant foliage, and prolonged flowering. In spring, young stems acquire a rich purple-burgundy hue, effectively contrasting with green leaves. In summer, the plant is covered with numerous small lavender-blue flowers, gathered in elegant spike-like inflorescences, which attract bees, butterflies, and other beneficial pollinators.

Catmints of the genus Nepeta naturally grow in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, where they are found on sunny slopes, meadows, and rocky areas. The Karasuba cultivar was bred as a highly decorative garden form, distinguished by its dark stems, compact bush, and long flowering period. Thanks to its high drought resistance and unpretentiousness, it is widely used in modern landscape compositions.

The plant prefers sunny locations or light partial shade, well-drained soils, and moderate watering. It blooms from June to September, forming neat bushes 40–60 cm high. It is perfectly suited for borders, mixed borders, rock gardens, natural gardens, and container cultivation.
