Description
Paeonia "Sarah Bernhardt" is a legendary variety of lactiflora peony that has remained one of the most popular in the world for over a hundred years. It is valued for its luxurious, densely double flowers, exquisite delicate pink color, and rich sweet aroma. Thanks to its magnificent bloom and high decorative value of the bush, this variety is considered a true classic of garden art and is widely used in both private gardens and professional landscaping.
Decorative features
The main advantage of the variety is its very large, densely double flowers with numerous silky petals gathered into a dense, lush rosette. The flowering looks especially luxurious due to the voluminous shape and rich texture of the petals.
The color of the flowers is delicate pink with slight silvery shimmers at the edges of the petals. As it opens, the center of the flower becomes lighter, acquiring creamy shades, which gives the inflorescences depth and expressiveness.
The flowers have a strong pleasant aroma with classic sweet floral notes, which makes the variety especially valued for cutting and creating fragrant gardens.
The foliage is large, dark green, dense, and glossy. After flowering, the bush maintains a neat shape and remains decorative until late autumn.
The bush is characterized by vigorous growth, dense foliage, and strong stems. During mass flowering, large flowers may slightly bend under their own weight, so it is recommended to install decorative supports during the budding period.

The early response after planting has been calm and even. The stems remained firm instead of drooping further. It was a small point, but I noticed it straight away.
