Prunus laurocerasus "Etna" is a dense evergreen shrub with glossy dark green foliage that turns bronze-orange in new growth. It grows to approximately 2 m in height and width, and responds well to formative pruning. It blooms discreetly with white flowers gathered in upright inflorescences. These are later replaced by conical black fruits, about 1 cm long.
It grows well in dry, moist, humus-rich, fertile garden soils, from slightly acidic to alkaline; generally undemanding and thrives in light sandy soils. It is a light-loving plant but can tolerate shade.

First time buying from this nursery and I'm impressed already. The little tree looks well-branched, with healthy bark and firm buds. Can't wait to watch it grow over the coming years.

The stems remained firm instead of drooping further. After planting, the plant did not show obvious stress. This mattered more to me than a promotional promise.
