Description
“Absolutely Fabulous” is a garden rose: an impressive garden plant capable of giving a composition depth, character, and a sense of completeness. Evergreen foliage or needles retain rich green tones and maintain the decorative appeal of the planting year-round. Flowering continues from June to October and reveals the characteristic palette of the variety. When mature, the plant usually reaches 0.7–1.2 m in height and about 0.5–0.9 m in width, so its future scale is easy to consider when planning the planting.
The beauty of the variety is especially well-manifested where lighting, soil, and humidity are selected according to its characteristics. Optimal lighting is sun; preferably at least 5–6 hours of direct light. Soil is fertile, humus-rich, well-drained; pH around 6–7. Watering is regular at the root; without overwatering leaves and water stagnation. Frost resistance is medium–high, usually around −18…−25 °C depending on the variety and conditions.
In a composition, the plant helps create an expressive structure and maintain interest in the planting throughout the season. The best use scenarios are flower beds, rose gardens, groups, cut flowers depending on the variety. The main advantages of “Absolutely Fabulous” are year-round decorativeness, prolonged flowering, compact form, fragrant blooming, and an expressive decorative appearance. To maintain the shape, it is sufficient to adhere to the following pruning scheme: spring sanitary and shaping; the type of pruning depends on the rose group.
