Description
“Ingrid Bergman” is a garden rose: a spectacular garden plant capable of adding depth, character, and a sense of completeness to a composition. Evergreen foliage or needles retain rich green tones and maintain the decorative appeal of the planting year-round. Flowering continues from June to October; the main shade of the flowers is “Red”. When mature, the plant typically reaches 0.7–1.2 m in height and about 0.5–0.9 m in width, so its future scale is easy to account for when planning planting.
The beauty of the variety is especially well-manifested where lighting, soil, and humidity are selected taking into account its characteristics. Optimal lighting is sun; preferably at least 5–6 hours of direct light. Soil — fertile, humus, well-drained; pH around 6–7. Watering — regular at the root; without over-wetting the leaves and water stagnation. Frost resistance — medium-high, usually around −18…−25 °C depending on the variety and conditions.
In a composition, the plant helps create an expressive structure and maintain interest in the planting throughout the season. The best use scenarios are flower beds, rose gardens, groups, cut flowers depending on the variety. The main advantages of “Ingrid Bergman” are year-round decorativeness, prolonged flowering, compact form, fragrant flowering, and expressive decorative appearance. To maintain its shape, it is sufficient to adhere to the following pruning scheme: spring sanitary and formative; the type of pruning depends on the rose group.
