Description

Salvia nemorosa Mainacht - is a perennial herbaceous plant.

It has upright, pubescent, branching stems. The leaves are oblong, narrowly oval, slightly wrinkled, with smaller upper leaves and larger, fragrant lower leaves. The flowers are tubular-bell-shaped or tubular, small, densely arranged on a spike-like inflorescence, dark blue in color. Flowering time is June-August. If you prune the nemorosa sage in late July - early August, it will re-bloom in September. The plant height is 35-40 cm. Salvia should be planted in sunny and warm locations. It prefers to grow in dry, sandy loam or loamy, well-drained soils of medium lightness. It tolerates drought easily but needs watering after pruning.
