Spiraea bumalda "Anthony Waterer" - is one of the most popular varieties of Japanese spirea, distinguished by its bright, long-lasting flowering, compact bush shape, and high unpretentiousness. Thanks to its rich crimson-pink inflorescences and decorative foliage, this variety is widely used for creating borders, flower beds, hedges, and urban landscaping. The plant retains its attractiveness from spring to late autumn and easily fits into any garden composition.

Decorative features

The main advantage of the variety is its numerous dense corymbose inflorescences of rich crimson-pink color, which almost completely cover the bush during flowering. The bright color of the flowers lasts for a long time and effectively stands out against the dark green foliage.

Young leaves in spring have an attractive bronze-reddish tint. As they grow, they become deep green, forming a dense decorative crown.

The bush is characterized by a dense, rounded shape and good branching. The shoots are upright, forming a compact crown that retains a neat appearance even without frequent pruning.

In autumn, the foliage acquires warm yellow, orange, and reddish hues, thanks to which the plant remains decorative after flowering.

With timely removal of faded inflorescences, the bush is capable of re-forming buds, extending the decorative period until the end of summer.
