Fresh plants from European nurseries
Description
“Prairie Sky” is an ornamental switchgrass: an impressive garden plant capable of adding depth, character, and a sense of completeness to a composition. Its evergreen foliage retains rich green tones, maintaining the decorative appeal of the planting year-round. Flowering continues from August to October. At maturity, the plant typically reaches 0.8–1.5 m in height and about 0.6–1 m in width, making its future scale easy to account for when planning planting.
The beauty of this variety is especially well-expressed where lighting, soil, and moisture are chosen to suit its characteristics. Optimal lighting is full sun. Well-drained soil is best. Watering is low to moderate. Frost resistance is high, up to -25 °C.
In a composition, the plant helps create an expressive structure and maintain interest in the planting throughout the season. The best use scenarios are mixed borders, mass plantings, structural plantings, and containers. The main advantages of “Prairie Sky” are year-round decorativeness, prolonged flowering, good winter hardiness, suitability for container cultivation, and a compact form. To maintain its shape, simply follow this pruning scheme: deciduous grasses are cut back in late winter; evergreen sedges are raked out and lightly cleaned.

Korzenie i część nadziemna wyglądały proporcjonalnie.

The early response after planting has been calm and even. A small fresh sign appeared at one of the growing points. It gave me confidence that the order had been checked.
