Description

Tulipa "Apricot Fox" is an elegant variety from the Triumph group, valued for its large goblet-shaped blooms, delicate coloring, and pleasant fragrance. The plant forms strong light-green stems up to 55 cm tall and decorative dark-green leaves. The 7-8 cm high flowers have a delicate yellow-cream center with pink-apricot hues along the edges of the petals, which gives them a special sophistication. Opened buds fill the garden with a subtle sweet aroma with a slight tangy note. Flowering continues in April-May, making this variety an excellent choice for flowerbeds, borders, and cutting.

Tulips prefer sunny, wind-protected areas with light, well-drained, non-acidic soil. Before planting, compost (up to 10 kg/m²) should be added; fresh manure should not be used. Bulbs are planted in September - early October: small ones to a depth of 7–10 cm, large ones up to 15 cm, leaving 10–20 cm between them. When planting, it is recommended to add a layer of sand for drainage.

Tulips are frost-resistant but do not tolerate waterlogging. During dry periods, they require watering. After flowering, the seed pods should be removed, and the leaves left until they completely wither. In July-August, the bulbs are dug up, dried, and stored until planting at a gradually decreasing temperature. For winter, plantings are mulched with peat or compost. Tulips can grow in one place for up to 5 years.
