Description

Tulipa "Aveyron" is an exquisite peony-shaped variety that will become a vibrant decoration for your spring garden. Large, densely double flowers with a diameter of 10–12 cm consist of numerous delicate pink corrugated petals, while the outer layer with a slight greenish tint gives them special decorative appeal. Thanks to its shape, the flower resembles a fully bloomed luxurious peony. The plant reaches 45-60 cm in height, has lush green leaves, and blooms profusely in April-May. The variety is characterized by long-lasting flowering, maintaining its decorative appeal for about a month.

Tulips prefer sunny, wind-protected areas with light, well-drained, non-acidic soil. Before planting, apply humus (up to 10 kg/m²); fresh manure should not be used. Bulbs are planted in September – early October: small ones at a depth of 7–10 cm, large ones up to 15 cm, leaving 10–20 cm between them. When planting, it is recommended to add a layer of sand for drainage.

Tulips are frost-resistant but do not tolerate waterlogging. During dry periods, they require watering. After flowering, remove seed pods, and leave the leaves until they completely wither. In July–August, dig up the bulbs, dry them, and store them until planting at a gradually decreasing temperature. For winter, mulch the plantings with peat or compost. Tulips can grow in one place for up to 5 years.
