Description

Tulipa "Green Day" is an exquisite late-flowering tulip from the Viridiflora group, distinguished by its unusual coloring and elegant flower shape. Large, goblet-shaped buds open in May, revealing pure white petals with a wide, bright green stripe running down the center of each petal, maintaining its vibrancy throughout flowering. Thanks to this contrasting combination, the variety looks fresh, refined, and is easily recognizable among other tulips.

The plant forms strong, slender flower stalks 35–50 cm tall and large flowers, perfectly suited for decorating flower beds, borders, and container plantings, as well as for cutting. The foliage is glaucous-green, characteristic of garden tulips, emphasizing the unusual coloring of the buds. The variety best displays its decorative qualities in sunny areas or light partial shade.

The main feature of Tulipa "Green Day" is the harmonious combination of a classic goblet shape and a rare white-green coloration without impurities of pink, red, or yellow hues. In some catalogs, the variety is also found under the name "Green Light," but it refers to the same cultivar. Thanks to its original appearance and long-lasting decorativeness, this tulip is considered one of the most striking representatives of the green-flowered tulip group.
