Tulipa humilis "Eastern Star" is a compact botanical variety valued for its vivid color contrast and early flowering. It's an excellent option for those who want to create a striking effect in a small space: it's perfectly suited for alpine slides, rock gardens, borders, and containers. Due to its low growth, it is often planted in the foreground where the flowers are clearly visible.
The plant is short – about 10-15 cm, with neat, sturdy stems. The flowers open wide in the sun, approximately 4-6 cm in diameter. The color is rich: the outer part of the petals is crimson, and the inner part is lighter, with a distinct dark center and yellow stamens, creating a "shining star" effect. The leaves are narrow, often with a slight bluish tint. The fragrance is faint, barely perceptible.
