Description

Tulipa "Louvre" - is one of the best late-flowering varieties, which belongs to the Fringed tulips class. Huge, bright, pink-purple flowers with white and pink fringes, long strong flower stalks. The plant height is 60 cm. Flowering is observed at the end of the season.

Tulip Louvre requires a sunny location and nutritious soil. It combines well with other tulip varieties and spring-flowering bulbous plants. For a greater effect, bulbs are best placed in groups of 8-12 pieces. Planting depth - 15 cm, distance between bulbs when planting - 10 cm. Plants overwintering in the soil should preferably be mulched with bark or peat. After the leaves turn yellow (early summer), dig up the bulbs, dry them, and place them in a dark, dry place at room temperature. Return them to the garden in autumn. No fertilization is needed. They should be left in the same place for 2-3 years. The earliest planting week for forcing is 47.
